Car rental at Agadir Airport (AGA)
Agadir Airport (AGA), also known as Al Massira Airport, is the main gateway to the coastal region of southern Morocco. Renting a car directly at the airport is the most convenient way to start your trip and explore the region at your own pace.
With a rental car from Agadir Airport, you can easily reach the city of Agadir, as well as destinations such as Taghazout, Essaouira, and the Atlas Mountains. Having your own car gives you the flexibility to discover beaches, surf spots, and traditional villages that are not easily accessible by public transport.
MarSoleil offers car rental at Agadir Airport without a credit card, including full insurance and zero excess. This means no hidden costs, no large deposit, and a smooth, hassle-free pickup right after arrival.

About Agadir Airport (AGA)
Agadir Al Massira Airport (IATA: AGA) is located approximately 25 km east of Agadir city centre, inland from the coast. It is one of Morocco’s busiest airports and handles a large volume of charter and low-cost routes from northern Europe, particularly from the UK, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. The terminal is modern and processes arrivals efficiently. Car rental desks are in the arrivals area with vehicle collection in the dedicated rental car zone outside. Agadir is Morocco’s main beach resort city and a rental car is particularly useful for reaching the quieter beaches north and south of the city and the Souss-Massa National Park.
Getting on the road from Agadir Airport
From the airport, Agadir city centre and the beach are approximately 25 km west, around 25 to 30 minutes. Taghazout, the surf village north of Agadir that has grown into a popular resort, is about 35 km northwest of the airport, around 35 minutes. Tiznit, a traditional walled town known for its silver jewellery, is approximately 85 km south via the N1 road, around 60 minutes. Taroudant, the walled city often called “the little Marrakech” set in the Souss plain, is about 80 km northeast via the N10, around 70 minutes. Essaouira is approximately 175 km north on the N1 coastal road, around 2 hours.
Why pick up at the airport rather than in the city
Agadir Airport is set well inland and a car is needed simply to reach the city and coast from the terminal. For visitors whose itinerary extends beyond the Agadir beach resort, a rental car opens up the Souss valley, the Anti-Atlas mountains, and the quieter stretches of the Atlantic coast that are unreachable by public transport. Taroudant and Tiznit in particular are rewarding destinations that few visitors reach without their own transport.
