Fuerteventura Airport (IATA: FUE) is located approximately 5 km south of Puerto del Rosario, the island’s capital, and about 35 km from the main resort area of Corralejo in the north. It is one of the busier Canary Island airports, handling a large volume of low-cost and charter routes from across Europe year-round, with peak arrivals during winter when northern Europeans escape the cold. The terminal is a modern single building and well-organised. Car rental desks are in the arrivals hall, with vehicles collected in the dedicated rental car zone in the car park in front of the terminal. Fuerteventura has very limited public transport, making a rental car the only practical way to explore the island independently.
Getting on the road from Fuerteventura Airport
